OUR SOURCES
Authorship and evidence.
First-party meanings and published historical references serve different purposes.
Our original interpretations
The 48 card meanings belong to the AngelCards.info Original Deck. They are not universal meanings that transfer unchanged to another deck. The readings use those meanings with defined positions and relationships.
Meet the Original Deck →Historical records
The Findhorn community timeline places Angel Cards sales in 1981. An InnerLinks creator biography describes first publication in 1982. These records use different descriptions; neither establishes one origin date for all angel-themed card systems.
Deck editions and card counts
Publisher records identify the specific editions described in our deck references. Counts belong to those editions, not to every oracle deck. Edition, creator and guidebook details matter when comparing systems.
Tarot and playing-card history
Museum accounts provide context for historical playing cards and tarot. They should not be treated as proof that modern angel-card products descend directly from an ancient angel-card tradition.
Using references responsibly
Follow the original record to see its context. Spiritual descriptions in a publisher’s product page express that system’s approach; they are not independent evidence of supernatural or health outcomes. Product references here are editorial, not stock listings or offers from AngelCards.info.
Our editorial approach →Further edition records
Later editions and similarly titled products need their own records. The library entry below is a secondary bibliographic reference; the other entries are publisher records.
