GLOSSARY

Angel Card

An angel card is an individual card belonging to an angel-themed card system used for reflection, spiritual practice, guidance, or divination depending on the deck and user.

Angel Card

An angel card is an individual card belonging to an angel-themed card system used for reflection, spiritual practice, guidance, or divination depending on the deck and user.

“Angel card” describes a card by its thematic system, not by one universal structural standard.

Different angel-card decks may contain:

keywords;

named angels;

affirmations;

symbolic scenes;

questions;

spiritual messages;

or other creator-defined content.

Angel-card systems also vary in size and architecture. Some are creator-defined oracle decks, while angel-themed tarot decks use tarot's inherited 78-card structure.

A card's meaning should therefore normally be understood within the deck it belongs to rather than assumed from the phrase “angel card” alone.

Within AngelCards.info, the term Card specifically refers to one of the 48 cards in the AngelCards.info Original Deck when the context concerns our first-party system.

Scope: Do not teach a universal angel-card count, dictionary, or reading method.

From What Are Angel Cards?

Angel cards are angel-themed card systems used for reflection, spiritual practice, guidance, or divination depending on the deck and the person using it.

That broad definition matters because there is no single official Angel Card deck, no universal number of cards, and no shared set of meanings that every angel-card system follows.

One published deck may contain 44 cards. Another may contain 72. Another can use the 78-card structure of tarot. The cards themselves may contain single words, affirmations, named angels, illustrated themes, questions, longer messages, or a mixture of these.

From Angel Cards vs Oracle Cards

The simplest answer is:

That is useful, but incomplete.

The modern card market does not have one official authority defining exactly where the category boundary must sit.

Theme and structure are different

An angel theme does not determine a deck’s count or interpretive method. When someone calls a card an angel card, ask which deck it belongs to and what that deck’s guidebook says. A title shared by two systems does not prove a shared meaning.

A practical example

For example, our Original Deck uses 48 cards in six realms. An external angel-themed deck may use a different number and a different vocabulary.
